Greenhouse Staging

Posted on 23. Apr, 2009 by in Uncategorized

As you will see from my other blog posts, I’ve recently had a greenhouse built. The main difficulty is that I didn’t have a suitable work top so I decided to order some aluminium staging. I had put some temporary shelves up but these just weren’t cutting the mustard.

With great excitement I took delivery of the staging and you can see how this has fitted into the greenhouse. I’m over the moon with the finished result.

Hiya Justin, Gav gave me your details as i’m interested in getting a greehouse only a lean-to type (due to lack of space).
Any ideas where the best and possible cheapest place would be. I need it to be about 6′ x 4′ with toughened glass.
    Many thanks. Carol

I bought mine from Poplar Tree Garden Centre but it’s not the cheapest greenhouse as I paid extra for stronger glass and it’s a high quality aluminium frame.

If your looking for something cheap and cheerful pop down to B&Q as they have some quite good options. Their greenhouses use plastic instead of glass which reduces the cost massively.

However, I was talking to a friend of mine about plastic glass greenhouses and apparently they don’t fair too well in high wind. He was complaining that it’s costing a fortune to replace the plastic glass every year.
