Twin Farms Gastro Pub Reviewed

Twin Farms is a Gastro Pub located about 5 minutes drive from Newcastle Airport. On arrival you'll see it's styled as an old farm house with excellent parking and great beer garden. The interior is well designed with a modern feel and you'll notice a great atmosphere as you walk through the door. During winter you'll be warmed by the open fire and the bar is stocked with a fantastic selection of real ales. This is a great pub for the whole family so don't be scared to take the children.

I eat at this pub several times a month and can quite honestly say in the Newcastle area this is one of the best Gastro Pubs. The food is excellently cooked and the menu features great British classics everyone loves to eat. The menu changes every 4-6months and the food is both seasonal and some ingredients locally sourced.

There is a brilliant selection of alcoholic drinks in both the wine and beer departments. The real ale is what you come to this pub for as the guest ales change on a weekly basis. There are quite often a few guest ciders on offer and a large selection of good quality wines. The drinks are slightly on the pricey side but I think the food and atmosphere makes up for this.

The food is well priced for the quality and good sized portions. Main meals range from £10 - £15 with a few exception for steaks and specials.

The staff are polite, helpful and smartly dressed which gives a restaurant feel when in fact you are in a smart pub.

On my last two visits I've eaten the Home Made New York Burger and Fish & Chips. Both of these dishes we're delicious and perfectly cooked. The batter on the fish was crisp with a well made beer batter which made it a delight to eat. The New York burger is well spiced and the mince used is packed with flavour.

Here are my scores on the doors:

Overall Rating ★★★★★★★★½☆

Food ★★★★★★★★★☆

Drink ★★★★★★★★½☆

Service ★★★★★★★★★☆

Atmosphere ★★★★★★★★★☆

Value ★★★★★★★★½☆
